Sheffield Wednesday have signed Leeds utility player Danny Pugh on loan until the end of the season.

Hot on the heels of Swansea striker Leroy Lita, who also agreed a temporary move to Hillsborough on Friday, 30-year-old Pugh has been recruited as manager Dave Jones looks to keep the club in the Championship.

Pugh, who can play in central midfield, left midfield or at left-back, came through the youth ranks at Manchester United and has also had spells with Preston and Stoke.

He is currently in his second permanent spell at Elland Road, having re-signed for the club in January 2012 after completing a successful loan from Stoke.

Pugh will wear the No 19 shirt during his spell at Hillsborough and is eligible for the Championship game at Charlton on Saturday.
