Sky Sports understands Charlton have agreed a deal to sign Southampton defender Dan Seaborne on a month's loan.
As revealed by Sky Sports earlier this week, Charlton were lining up a move for Seaborne as they look to bolster their defensive options.
Chris Powell's side have struggled defensively this season and have conceded four goals in their last two outings against Middlesbrough and Cardiff.
Seaborne has found himself down the pecking order at St Mary's this season with the former Exeter man yet to feature in the Premier League.
The 25-year-old has only appeared three times in the Capital One Cup this season and, with Southampton now out of the competition, boss Nigel Adkins is happy to loan out Seaborne so that he can get some regular first-team football.
Several Championship clubs expressed an interest in signing Seaborne, but Charlton have won the race for his signature.
Seaborne is set to go straight into the Charlton squad for this weekend's clash with Bristol City.
