Wolves have appointed German coach Patrick Weiser to the club's backroom staff after he worked with Stole Solbakken at Cologne.
Weiser was a player with the German side and also turned out for Rennes and Wolfsburg during his career, before becoming youth team coach at Cologne and then being promoted.
Weiser was in the directors' box for Blackburn's 1-0 win over Wolves on 6 October and he has now agreed to take on the new role.
"After assessing various candidates Stale and the club have decided that Patrick is the best man to fill the coaching vacancy and we are delighted to welcome him to Molineux," Wolves CEO Jex Moxey told the club's official website.
"He will bring in some further fresh ideas and expertise to our backroom staff and aim to help the players build on an encouraging start to the season."
Meanwhile, Wolves have decided not to follow up their interest in former West Brom midfielder Somen Tchoyi after his spell training with the club.
