Millwall captain Paul Robinson will visit a specialist in a bid to eradicate a recurring pelvic problem.

Robinson has been limited to just three appearances this season due to pain experienced during matches.

Lions physio Bobby Bacic told the club's official website: "Paul Robinson is having a frustrating time at present, as although he can train, he is experiencing pain in his pelvic area during matches."

The defender, who had an operation on a hernia during the summer, is set for a series of scans at a specialist unit in London.

Bacic added: "The hernia repair he had is intact so we are now investigating the pelvis through a series of very detailed scans.

"Paul is injected with a dye before the scan to enhance the areas of inflammation.

The scans will then be read by two specialists in a bid to get to the root of the problem."
