Ian Holloway was delighted after Nouha Dicko's stunning strike earned Blackpool a come-from-behind 3-2 win at Hull.
Matt Phillips opened the scoring for the visitors but Sone Aluko and Stephen Quinn struck either side of the break to give the Tigers the lead.
But Kevin Phillips levelled the contest on 71 minutes before Dicko came off the bench to silence the KC Stadium with a superb overhead volley seven minutes from time.
"That was a fantastic advert for how good the Championship is and how good it is going to be," said Holloway.
"There were two really good teams out there. I would have taken a point once it got back to 2-2, but an overhead kick has managed to get us the win. It could have gone either way, but obviously I am delighted it has gone ours."
Tom Ince was again absent from the Seasiders' starting line-up and Holloway revealed he has sustained a bizarre injury.
He added: "He twisted his hip and tore a muscle - it's a strange one, almost not a football injury."
