Blackburn Rovers new boy Jordan Rhodes admits the uncertainty surrounding the future of manager Steve Kean is unsettling.

Reports have suggested the Ewood Park boss is facing the sack just seven Championship matches into the new season having also been with the club through their Premier League relegation.

Rhodes only arrived at Blackburn late in the summer transfer window in an £8million switch from Huddersfield but he thinks the rumours are having a negative impact.

Asked how unsettling the speculation is as a new Blackburn player, Rhodes said on Sky Sports: "It is, to a degree.

"The manager bought me to the club and I owe a huge debt of gratitude to him.

"When we go out on the field, we are doing it for him, the coaching staff and the whole team.

"We all take criticism, no matter who it is, so we are all in it together."
