Danish starlet unlikely to move on this summer

Aalborg claim no transfer talks have been held regarding Nicklas Helenius, with it highly unlikely that the youngster will be on his way to England. Sheffield Wednesday have been strongly linked with the 21-year-old, with Sky Sports revealing on Thursday that they have seen an offer knocked back. Fulham, West Brom and Norwich are also said to have taken a close look at Helenius in the past. Aalborg are fully aware of the rumours surrounding their much sought-after forward, but are keen to hang on to his services for as long as possible and doubt that a deal will be done with Wednesday.

Offers

"I have heard that Sheffield Wednesday have put in an offer for Helenius, but I will never share information about offers in the press," sporting director Lynge Jakobsen told bold.dk. "I will be sure to let everyone know if we complete a deal. But I do not expect him to play for Sheffield Wednesday. "We are not negotiating with anyone right now, and it might be best for Nicklas to stay here. "He can go on to become the leading scorer in this league and then he would have more offers to choose from."
