Peterborough striker David Ball has joined Football League newcomers Fleetwood for an undisclosed fee, subject to a medical.

Ball, 22, has signed a three-year deal with the Cod Army. The former Manchester City youngster moved to London Road in January 2011 and scored 11 goals for Posh, including the last goal of last season which secured a 1-1 draw at Derby. The striker scored three goals in a total of 14 appearances for Rochdale in two separate loan spells at Spotland last season.
