Bolton want Irish keeper

Bolton Wanderers have made a bid for Leeds United goalkeeper Andy Lonergan, Sky Sports understands. The 28-year-old joined Leeds last summer from Preston North End and he made over 30 appearances for the Whites. However, Neil Warnock - who arrived late in the season - has a deal lined up for Queens Park Rangers' Paddy Kenny, which means Lonergan will be surplus to requirements. Bolton boss Owen Coyle has been monitoring his situation and has now made a move as he looks to provide competition for Adam Bogdan following Jussi Jaaskelainen's departure from the club. Meanwhile, Warnock has admitted that a number of his fringe players have been the subject of recent enquiries. "There's been some enquiries for a number of players," he told the club's official website. "I'm not surprised really. I think they all could do other clubs a job, but it's just that we're trying to change things and there's always one or casualties. "It's no disrespect to them because you want to bring players in. We've had a couple of offers."
