Czech Republic international is being chased by Blackpool

Blackpool owner Karl Oyston is eager to speak to Roman Bednar's agent and conclude a deal after he made the striker an offer. The 29-year-old joined the Seasiders in January on a contract that ran until the end of the season. And manager Ian Holloway was suitably impressed with his contribution to offer him a new 12-month deal, with the option for a further year. "We have made Roman an offer. Now we need to speak to his agent and see where we are," Oyston told the Blackpool Gazette. Bednar spent four years with West Brom before he was released at the turn of the year, and with his experience, Holloway believes the Czech Republic international can be the focal point for their attack. Blackpool earned a reputation for their crisp, free-flowing football last term which took them to the cusp of a return to the Premier League. However, with more bite in their attack, Holloway is confident they can go one step further this term.
