Boss remains convinced Spaniard will stay

Brighton manager Gus Poyet feels the club have 'a great chance' of keeping hold of Spanish midfielder Vicente during this summer's transfer window. The 30-year-old former Spain international will be out of contract over the summer and his performances towards the end of the season, when he finally managed to get fit, will have alerted a host of rival clubs. However, Poyet told The Argus: "Vicente is away but we are in contact with him and I think there is a big possibility he will be with us next season. "The situation is very clear. There are no issues. Everything is all right. It's just trying to make sure that all parties are happy with the situation. "I suppose he could get offers but I think we have a great option because he has been playing a lot for us which hasn't happened in the past. Hopefully he puts that into consideration as well. "He is still our player until June 30 and we have a great chance of keeping him."
