Tom Heaton heads a list of seven first-team professionals leaving Cardiff this summer after the club submitted its retained list to the Football League.
Also leaving on the expiry of their contracts are Lee Naylor, Paul Quinn, Aaron Wildig, Jon Meades, Alex Evans and Jordan Santiago.
Meanwhile, midfielder Liam Lawrence has returned to parent club Portsmouth after finishing his short-term loan spell.
Cardiff said on their official website: "The club wishes to publically thank each player for his contribution.
"We wish them the very best of luck in their future endeavours."
