Peterborough defender looking for move

Rotherham's on-loan defender Scott Griffiths hopes to leave parent club Peterborough on a permanent basis over the summer. The 26-year-old has struggled to make an impact at the Championship outfit since joining from Dagenham in January 2010 following a successful loan period. The full-back has made just 21 appearances for Posh, with his last outing over two years ago. However, Griffiths has impressed during loan spells at Chesterfield (twice), Crawley and now Rotherham, but he told Sky Sports that he hopes to end his personal nightmare and find pastures new. "I think that this summer will be an important one for me because even though I've still got another year left on my contract at Peterborough, it looks like he has decided that I'm not the type of player he wants to include in his plans for the future. "I'll be looking elsewhere to try and sort something out and I'd take most places in the country. "However, I'd prefer to stay down south just because of my bad luck up north on the injury front. "I spent five and half years at Dagenham and a year playing at Peterborough, with only three or four weeks during that period on the sidelines. "Yet, during my spells at Chesterfield and Rotherham, despite the success gained at the former, I've had niggles more often than not, but perhaps that is purely coincidence."
