Promising winger links up with Palace

Crystal Palace have snapped up promising winger Bayan Fenwick from non-league outfit Lewes and will add him to their youth ranks. The 18-year-old is considered to be an exciting prospect for the future and Palace are delighted to have secured his services. Fenwick has experience of competing in the Ryan Premier League, but will work with the Eagles' academy side before being unleashed on the Championship. "Fenwick is a wide-right player and has got terrific dead-ball quality from free-kicks and corners," said youth team coach Gary Issott. "He is a good sized winger at 5ft 11in and very athletic with good feet. "He will join the club as a second-year scholar and will play with the youth team for the rest of the season." Palace have dipped into the non-league player pool on a regular basis in the past 12 months, with Quade Taylor, Michael Chambers and Kwesi Appiah having already been snapped up.
