Coventry boss Andy Thorn admits other players could follow Lukas Jutkiewicz out of the Ricoh Arena this transfer window if the right bids come in.
Jutkiewicz left the rock-bottom Sky Blues, who currently sit seven points from safety,
in a switch to Championship rivals Middlesbrough this week.
While Thorn is now in the market for a new striker on loan, he admits others could leave if the finances are right.
He told the
Coventry Telegraph: "When players go out I don't think managers have a say in it these days.
"They can have an opinion.

"It's down to finances, isn't it, and if clubs get a good offer I don't think the manager has much of a say.
"You just have to do the best you can with whatever comes back to you."
But Thorn hopes to keep hold of his star players, while letting fringe members of his squad leave to bring in new faces.
He added: "As I've always said you want to hold on to your best players but you want to add.
"There are a few boys looking to play more regular football and that's fine, I haven't got a problem with that and they will probably be the ones to go and then I can bring in some fresh faces.
"I hope to get somebody else in, although somebody would probably have to go out first."
Positive note
On a more positive note, Coventry have signed veteran defender Hermann Hreidarsson from Portsmouth on a short-term deal until the end of the season, while striker Alex Nimely has joined on loan from Manchester City.
The Coventry boss added: "They have given everybody a lift.
"We definitely need Hermann's experience. He's a good talker and organiser and Alex is lively and will give us a different dimension that will hopefully make us more potent."
