Elliot Grandin is set to make his Blackpool comeback after missing the last 17 games with a foot injury.
The Frenchman hasn't played since the third game of the Championship season - a 1-0 defeat by Derby County.
He had surgery on his foot and has battled through the pain barrier to complete his rehabilitation process to force his way back into Ian Holloway's plans.
And with Jonjo Shelvey returning to Liverpool after six goals in an 11 game loan spell, Grandin's return to fitness comes at the ideal time.
Hollway told
The Blackpool Gazette: "There is good news about Elliot - he may be able to play pretty soon.
"He trained fully last Friday and looked like he was moving much more comfortably.

"He had a few problems when he first came back after the operation. He had a limp and soreness and I had to tell him to trust our physio and work through the pain barrier a bit.
"It wasn't easy for him because he just wanted to feel like he did before, whereas he was getting a level of pain he was not used to.
"But he's much closer than he was this time last week and there is a big improvement in how he feels.
"He is in much less pain on the ball of his foot. As anyone in football knows, that is where you strike the ball and move off from.
"But he is getting over that and it is great to see him looking more like himself.
"With Jonjo gone, there may be another opportunity for a person to come in and stake a claim. But Elliot faces a battle because I don't think I've ever had as many choices.
"Billy Clarke wasn't included on Saturday. Neither were Brett Ormerod or Daniel Bogdanovic and Tom Ince didn't get on, so I've got some wonderful options now, even though Jonjo has left."
