Marlon Harewood has been offered an opportunity to train at former club Nottingham Forest, with the Reds prepared to give him a chance to impress.
The striker is set to become a free agent in January, with a deal in China set to come to an end.
Harewood has been turning out for Guangzhou R&F, netting four times in 10 outings.
He is, however, keen to secure a return to English football and has welcomed the chance to link up with Forest.

The 32-year-old began his career at the City Ground and scored 51 goals in 181 league appearances for the Reds before joining West Ham in 2003.
He is now back on Trentside and Forest boss Steve Cotterill admits Harewood will be given every opportunity to earn a permanent deal.
He told the club's
official website: "Marlon is without a club at the moment so we have invited him to train with us, which will allow us to have a good look at him."
Meanwhile, Forest have also taken 17-year-old winger Aaron Rhule on trial from Blue Square Bet South club Bromley.
