Roman Bednar has rejected a move to the Championship while it is not the right time for Marc-Antoine Fortune to go out on loan.
Hodgson not prepared to let Fortune join Doncaster at the moment
Roy Hodgson has revealed West Brom striker Roman Bednar has turned down the chance to join a Championship club on loan after confirming it is not the right time for Marc-Antoine Fortune to move to Doncaster Rovers.
Bednar has made just one substitute's appearance in the Carling Cup for the Baggies this season and has attracted interest from the Championship.
However, Hodgson says the Czech Republic forward has opted to stay at The Hawthorns rather than drop down to the second tier on a temporary basis.
"We have had a couple of enquiries for Roman from the Championship but he doesn't want to go on loan," said the West Brom boss.
"One or two Championship clubs have asked about him but he wanted to stay here."

Skysports.com revealed Doncaster's interest in Fortune earlier this week, however, Hodgson is reluctant to let the frontman head out on loan following an injury to Shane Long.
Hodgson added: "Doncaster Rovers have asked about Marc but, with Long out and Peter (Odemwingie) having taken this knock on his knee, I would prefer to wait.
"We get these situations all the time but my principle to loaning is very simple.
"If it suits the player and is good for the player and will help him be better for us I'm interested. If not, I don't have an interest.
"Would it suit Marc-Antoine to get a couple of games on loan? I am tempted to some extent to say 'yes, it would' and if we could get away with it, it would be good for him. But this isn't the right moment in time."
