Skysports.com understands Gary Taylor-Fletcher is poised to sign a new one-year deal at Blackpool with the option of a further year.
The 30-year-old was one of the Tangerines' standout performers in the Premier League last term and is out of contract in the summer.
He has started this term in particularly impressive fashion and already has two goals to his credit.
Taylor-Fletcher had wanted a contract to reflect his status within the club and, after something of an impasse, Tangerines chairman Karl Oyston now appears ready to produce that.
The midfielder has played in all four divisions of the professional game having started his career in the non-league with Northwich Victoria.
