Striker seals loan switch

Millwall have added more firepower to their squad after signing striker Jay Simpson on loan from Hull City until January. The former Arsenal man has made just two substitute appearances in the league this season and will be hoping to get regular first-team football after returning to the Lions. Simpson spent a successful loan spell at the club in 2007 which saw him net eight goals in 45 appearances. He will link up with fellow hitman Dany N'Guessan, who has completed a deadline day move to Millwall from Leicester City. The 22-year-old has shone in the Championship in the past, with 13 goals netted in 42 appearances during a loan spell at Queens Park Rangers. It was that record that led Hull to swoop for his services, but he has struggled to reproduce that form since leaving Loftus Road.
