Burnley manager Eddie Howe has admitted he may be forced to enter the loan market after losing new signing Danny Ings to injury.
The 19-year-old striker looks set to be sidelined until the New Year after suffering a knee injury in training last Thursday.
Ings, who only arrived at Turf Moor last Monday on a four-year deal from Bournemouth, requires a cartilage operation and joins fellow frontman Martin Paterson on the sidelines.
"We might look to add to it. We didn't plan to go back in, but unfortunately we might have to," said Howe. "We'll see what's available.
"We've got Alex MacDonald who came off the bench on Saturday. He's done really well in pre-season so I don't think we are desperate.
"We might just look who's available and see what we do."
