Trio to feature against Owls before hearing if they have won deals

Simon Grayson could decide the futures of trialists Jlloyd Samuel, Isaiah Osbourne and Alex Mendy after Saturday's friendly with Sheffield Wednesday. The trio featured in Leeds' 1-0 pre-season win over Rochdale on Tuesday as the Whites boss looks to increase his numbers ahead of the new campaign. Ex-FK Mlada Boleslav man Mendy featured in the first half of the midweek success while former Bolton defender Samuel and ex-Aston Villa midfielder Osbourne played after half time. Grayson was happy with the display of all three players, but he will formulate more of an opinion following this weekend's clash with Yorkshire rivals Wednesday.

Experience

"They've both got Premier League experience, especially Jlloyd, and they're going to be keen to impress and get contracts," he told the Yorkshire Evening Post. "We can wait as long as we like before making offers but if they do particularly well then it's something we might do quicker. "(Mendy's) been recommended to us and hasn't trained too much since the end of last season so we thought it would be a good opportunity to have a look at him. "To be fair to him, I thought he did well. He was positive when he had the ball and he knew the shape of the team. "All three will be with us until the weekend and they'll play some part at Sheffield Wednesday. We'll move things on from there."
