Howe looking to bring in Stewart as third choice at Turf Moor

Burnley manager Eddie Howe has confirmed he is hoping to add former Bournemouth goalkeeper Jon Stewart to his squad. Howe signed Stewart for Bournemouth last summer and the 22-year-old made five appearances for the Cherries before his contract was terminated in April. He could now be offered the opportunity to become Burnley's third-choice keeper as Howe wants to increase the pressure on Lee Grant and Brian Jensen. "We know John from our time at Bournemouth," said Howe after the 4-2 pre-season victory over Altrincham. "He hasn't had a lot of first-team action in terms of professional games but he's someone we really like. "He would come in with a view to being our No.3 because I think we need one."
