Hull City manager Nigel Pearson has indicated that Richard Garcia's future could be in doubt after the winger underwent surgery on his injured knee.
Pearson revealed last month that Garcia had been offered a new contract, with his current deal set to expire, but he has still not put pen to paper.
Garcia was sent under the knife on Friday and Pearson is now waiting on the medical prognosis.
"He's had an operation and he's had a contract offer that he's not signed," Pearson told the Hull Daily Mail.
"We'll have to see how that develops. Obviously now he's had an operation it may alter the situation, we'll have to have a look at it.
"I've not had chance to speak with Richard or in great depth with the medical department about the severity of the injury so we'll see how it pans out this week."
