Djilali, Cadogan and N'Diaye could leave Palace on loan

Crystal Palace midfielders Kieran Djilali, Kieron Cadogan and Alassane N'Diaye could be set for loan moves away from Selhurst Park. The trio have fallen out of favour at the Eagles with Alex Marrow and David Wright currently holding down the central roles and winger Sean Scannell fit again after a long-term knee injury. Youngsters Jack Holland, Jerry Nnamani, Nathaniel Pinney and Charlie Holness could also be on the move in a bid to get more first-team football under their belts. "We are going to try and get some of the youngsters out on loan," confirmed manager Dougie Freedman.

Backroom appointment

Meanwhile, Palace have confirmed the appointment of former player Tony Popovic as first-team coach. Freedman has persuaded the ex-Eagles defender to leave his role as assistant manager at Sydney FC and return to south London, where he was a big fans' favourite between 2001 and 2006. "It's nice to be back," he told the club's official website. "I know how Dougie thinks and how he sees the game, he knows Crystal Palace inside out." Freedman added: "He is a good guy and he thinks the same of me in terms of what we can achieve at this club."
