New Burnley boss Eddie Howe has revealed he will meet with Brian Jensen to discuss the goalkeeper's future.

The long-serving Dane, 35, has grown frustrated after losing his first-team place to Lee Grant and last month handed in a transfer request.

Brian Laws was the Clarets manager at the time and Howe now plans to speak with the popular shot-stopper to gauge his thoughts.

Howe said: "We haven't had a chance to chat with Brian yet. It's been a bit of a whirlwind week so far so I will sit down with Brian when I get a minute and talk it though with him and see where he's at and see what he's thinking.

"It depends what Brian thinks. He has obviously put a transfer request in for a reason but until I speak to him I won't know the full details."
