Skysports.com understands Ipswich are in talks with winger Carlos Edwards over a new deal at Portman Road. Edwards' current deal expires at the end of the season and he could leave on a free transfer. The 32-year-old joined Ipswich in September 2009 and he has established himself as a key player in the side. The former Sunderland man has made 45 appearances for Ipswich and scored three goals to date for the club. New Town boss Paul Jewell is keen to keep hold of the Trinidad and Tobago international and is ready to offer Edwards a new deal to stay at the Suffolk outfit.
