USA international Robbie Findley is looking forward to starting his Nottingham Forest career after securing a work permit.

The 25-year-old has been forced to wait to make his debut for the Championship club as the Home Office processed his application.

However, the club were given the green light on Saturday and now Findley is eager to make an impact on the pitch for Billy Davies' troops.

The former LA Galaxy and Real Salt Lake marksman could now make his debut against Derby on Saturday and he cannot wait to get started.

Excited

"I'm really excited and looking forward to getting going here in the next week or so," he told the club's official website.

"I'm just really thankful for everything that everyone did for me in getting the work permit sorted - I know they worked really hard.

"Forest is a club with a great deal of history and as far as the squad is concerned, I like the way the coaching team run things.

"The players have made me feel really welcome. I'm looking forward to getting to know them better and getting out there on the pitch.

"I always told myself that if I got the chance to move overseas I would take it and thankfully I've had that opportunity and am going to make the most of it."
