Burnley winger Ross Wallace is hoping his goal against Watford will lead to a recall to the starting line-up.

Wallace joined the Clarets in the summer from Preston North End, but has not started in the Championship since mid-September.

A combination of injury and the form of his team-mates has seen the Scot restricted to a substitute's role for Brian Laws' side over the past two months.

However, after netting in the 3-2 success over Watford at the weekend, Wallace is keen to reclaim his place in Laws' first XI following a chat with the manager.

"Hopefully with that 20 minutes I've done enough to keep my place," said Wallace.

"I spoke with the manager on Thursday, I'm still a massive part of his plans this season and I'm going to get back in shortly."
