Iron skipper keen to end miserable home run

Scunthorpe skipper Cliff Byrne is sick of being quizzed over the Iron's miserable home form this season. The Glanford Park faithful watched their side slip to a fifth defeat in eight home Championship outings in midweek as Middlesbrough claimed a 2-0 success. Byrne knows the only way to prevent further questions is to add to their tally of just one home win this season. But Scunthorpe will be up against it this weekend when title-chasing Cardiff City head north keen to continue their promotion push.

Reward

"I don't want to hear this question coming up every week," Byrne told the Scunthorpe Evening Telegraph. "We have enough in this squad to be winning games at home - now we have got to go and do it. "We have to turn performances into results. We want to put on a show for our home fans. We want to reward them. "It is really important we win at home and keep the momentum going from our away results."
