Veteran reveals harsh words following Barnsley draw

Kevin Kilbane accepts Hull City have been under-performing this season after confirming harsh words were spoken after the 1-1 draw at Barnsley. Versatile veteran Kilbane secured the Tigers a point at Oakwell on Saturday, but the result stretched the club's run without a win to six games. Hull, who were relegated from the Premier League last season, now sit just a point outside the drop zone in the Championship after recording only three victories this term. Kilbane acknowledged the Tigers' form has not been good enough, but did praise the way the players performed in the second half against Barnsley.

Reality

He said: "We've gone back into the dressing room after the game and although we played well in the second half, one or two of the lads were talking to each other in a harsh way because that is the reality of the game. "We've got to be on at each other because we've got good players, but we've been under-performing. "In the end, I thought it was a good point for us because we didn't play well in the first half. "We came back out and raised it a few notches and managed to get that belief that we needed to go on and get something."
