Midfielder set to be absent for a few weeks

Doncaster midfielder Simon Gillett could be out for several weeks after injuring his knee in their 3-2 defeat by Derby on Tuesday. The 25-year-old came off in the 39th minute of the game at the Keepmoat Stadium and will now undergo a scan to investigate the extent of medial ligament damage. Gillett joined Rovers from Southampton in the summer after a brief loan spell with the club last season and has made nine appearances for the club so far, scoring one goal. "It looks like it's going to be weeks rather than days at this minute," manager Sean O'Driscoll told the club's official website. "We won't really know until Thursday. He's on crutches, so he's going to struggle a little bit."
