Scunthorpe United manager Ian Baraclough has boosted his ranks after drafting in three players on trial.
The Iron boss will run the rule over Bryan Hughes, Jay O'Shea and Paris Cowan-Hall, who all featured in a reserve match against Lincoln on Tuesday.
All three new boys have played for Premier League clubs during their careers but are now looking to make the grade with the Championship outfit, who were beaten by then-basement boys Leicester City last time out.
Former Hull City midfielder Hughes is now a free agent after being released by the Tigers last season, while Birmingham City winger O'Shea and one-time Portsmouth performer Cowan-Hall are also trialists at the Glanford Park club.
If the trio impress they could be part of the Scunthorpe squad that plays host to Doncaster in their next league game after the international break.
