Kallio and Vignal out to impress Jones
Cardiff City manager Dave Jones has taken former Premier League players Toni Kallio and Gregory Vignal on trial.
Kallio is available on a free transfer after being released by Fulham over the summer, while Vignal was not offered a new contract by Birmingham City at the end of last season.
Versatile Finland international Kallio struggled to make an impact during his two years at Fulham and spent time on loan at Sheffield United last term.
The 31-year-old, who can also play at left-back or centre-half, was handed a starting spot in midfield for Cardiff's friendly against Deportivo La Coruna.
French full-back Vignal, meanwhile, was on the bench for Saturday's pre-season encounter as he continues his quest to find a new club.
Vignal recently trained with Sheffield United and will hope for better luck at Cardiff, who are currently operating under a transfer embargo.
