Hungary keeper set to join Championship club

Sunderland manager Steve Bruce has revealed that Marton Fulop is on the verge of joining Ipswich. The 27-year-old goalkeeper is set to leave the Stadium of Light and Portman Road appears to be his likely destination as the player is discussing personal terms with the Tractor Boys. With Sunderland trying to sign David James as cover for the injured Craig Gordon, Fulop's first-team opportunities with the Black Cats seem to be limited and the Hungary international has long been linked with the exit door. Former Black Cats boss Roy Keane has swooped for the shot-stopper, who he believes will be of great benefit to the club's Championship campaign. Bruce says a deal for the player will go through shortly, as long as the talks between Ipswich and Fulop go well. He told The Journal: "Marton Fulop is on the edge of joining Ipswich. "They are talking personal terms as I understand it, so something should be finalised shortly as long as those talks go well."
