Bristol City midfielder Cole Skuse has signed a new deal that will keep him at the club until the summer of 2013.
The 24-year-old came through the ranks at Ashton Gate and has now committed his future to the Robins.
Skuse signed the contract before City departed on their pre-season tour of Sweden, and he did not have to think twice about putting pen to paper.
He told the club's official website: "I got a phone call from the club to say they had a new contract for me. It didn't take me long to sign it at all.
"I've always been a Bristol City fan and all my friends and family are based here. Some say I'm stuck in the comfort zone but that's not true.
"We are in the Championship pushing for the Premier League with a new manager and everything about the club, including the new training ground and stadium, is moving in the right direction."
