Slovenia international and ex-Juve midfielder out to win deals

Crystal Palace have taken Slovenia international Aleksandar Radosavljevic and former Juventus midfielder Davide Baiocco on trial. New Palace chief George Burley is keen to improve his squad and currently has several players battling to earn a contract. Radosavljevic, who appeared in all three of Slovenia's World Cup matches, is training with Palace after spending the second half of last season in Greece with Larissa. He started Saturday's friendly against Chelsea, while veteran midfielder Baiocco and Anthony Ousfane were also in the Palace side. Former Chelsea youngster Liam Bridcutt and Dean Morgan were on the bench as Palace were beaten at Selhurst Park by a Michael Essien goal. Meanwhile, Burley revealed he is hoping to win the race to sign an unnamed Premier League youngster on loan in the coming days. He told the Croydon Guardian: "We have made an approach for a Premier League forward. He's a young lad and there are a few clubs after him. "The problem is that he hasn't returned to full training yet, so we might get more feedback once he comes back in. "We are speaking to a number of players. There's nothing concrete, but we are scouring the market, we know we need to strengthen."
