Bristol City midfielder Gavin Williams has calmed talk linking him with a return to Hereford.
The 29-year-old fell out of favour at Ashton Gate last season and was sent out on loan to League One outfit Yeovil Town.
Speculation has now mounted that he could make the switch to Edgar Street, where he played for the Bulls between 1996 and 2002.
However, Williams has refuted such claims, and insists he wants to prove his worth at Bristol City.
He told the Hereford Times: "I am quite happy at Bristol City and, at the moment, I am concentrating on getting my place in the Bristol City side.
"I don't know anything about the rumours."
The Robins have recently appointed Steve Coppell as their new manager, and Williams may now feel he has a chance of breaking into the first team.
