Swansea have handed a three-year contract to young midfielder Lee Lucas.
The Wales Under-19 international joined the club at nine years old and recently completed a two-year scholarship at the Liberty Stadium, with the Swans regarding him as a bright talent for the the future.
Lucas managed to impress playing for the under-18 side, earning himself a promotion to the reserves last season, where he continued to shine in the centre of the park.
The 18-year-old has yet to make a first-team appearance for Paulo Sousa's side, but was an unused substitute in a handful of Championship games and is expected to be given the opportunity to make his mark next term.
"It's great to get the opportunity to be a professional at Swansea City," he told the club's official website.
"I'm grateful at getting the chance and I'm just going to carry on working as hard as I can in order to try and break into the squad.
"It was a nice experience to be involved with the first-team as it helped me mature as a player and helped me improve my confidence."
