Crystal Palace midfielder Johannes Ertl insists he cannot wait for Sunday's relegation decider against Sheffield Wednesday.
This weekend's Hillsborough fixture will determine whether the Owls or the Eagles will be sent down into League One, with Palace only needing a draw to survive while Wednesday can only ensure their safety with maximum points.
And Ertl has commenced the mind games ahead of the all-important clash by claiming that the pressure is on the hosts, despite their home advantage.
"It is going to be a really, really big game and I feel that every player in our side has to rise to the challenge on Sunday," the Austrian international told skysports.com.
"I believe that the pressure is actually on Sheffield Wednesday though, and I'm really looking forward to the game.
"It has been a very interesting season for us and the missed chance in the last minute against West Brom was just another twist for our rollercoaster season.
"Hopefully, it will have a happy ending."
Both set of fans have shown their support, with the game virtually sold out, but Ertl believes that the intimidating atmosphere caused by the Owls supporters will not affect his side as they set out to win all three points.
"The game is already sold out and they simply need to win," the versatile defensive midfielder added.
"We want to win though, and we will be preparing ourselves with the mentality of going there and picking up all three points.
"We have a very strong bond in our squad and the characters in our side will know how to deal with the pressure and we will all be up for the challenge."
