Cup finalists keen to have striker available

Portsmouth are planning to hold talks with Lens about Aruna Dindane's contract situation. As it stands Dindane, who has been linked with a summer move to Blackburn, played his last game for Portsmouth in Sunday's FA Cup semi-final win over Tottenham. Dindane, who joined Pompey on loan from Lens at the start of the season, currently finds himself in limbo as one more appearance would trigger a £4million payment to his parent club. Portsmouth administrator Andrew Andronikou is hoping a compromise can be reached with Lens to enable Dindane to play in the FA Cup final against Chelsea. "Under his contract there was a bullet payment after his 22nd appearance, he has played 21 games and we are looking to have a meeting with Lens to negotiate," Andronikou told Sky Sports News. "I'm sure they will see it is in the interest of the club, themselves and the player for there to be a compromise." Andronikou is also confident Avram Grant will have a full squad to choose from for the final against his former club, despite some of the players having expensive clauses in their contracts that could be triggered. Before that Pompey face Wigan at the DW Stadium on Wednesday in the Premier League and Andronikou has confirmed they will have to look into the FA Cup issue. "We seem to have everything under control at the moment and will, as usual, put out a strong team against Wigan on Wednesday," added Andronikou. "The issue was regarding FA Cup appearances. "Now we have another problem, albeit a very welcome one, for the final. I'm sure we'll have a full squad to play against Chelsea in May."
