Defender Pim Balkestein has returned to Brentford from Ipswich for the remainder of the season.
The Dutchman played eight games during a loan stint with the Bees earlier this season and arrives with a view to a permanent switch in the summer.
The 22-year-old has been allowed to leave Portman Road as he does not figure in Roy Keane's first-team plans.
"After lengthy discussions with Ipswich we are delighted to see Pim back at Griffin Park," said Bees boss Andy Scott.
"After the first spell it was evident what a good player he is so to bring him back is another feather in Brentford's cap."
Scott has also allowed centre-half Alan Bennett to rejoin Wycombe until the end of the season.
