West Bromwich Albion assistant manager Eddie Newton has confirmed the club are considering a move to sign a right-back on loan.
Gianni Zuiverloon was dropped for Saturday's 3-1 win over Derby County, with Romania international Gabriel Tamas shifted out to a full-back role.
Newton praised Tamas for filling in for Zuiverloon and revealed the Championship promotion hopefuls are exploring options in the loan market.
"It's a situation we're looking at and we've got a week now, so we can work on it and maybe look to bring someone in," said Newton in the Express & Star.
"Gabriel has played there quite often at his previous clubs and he is comfortable in the position, but he was extremely tired on Saturday.
"He was on his last legs. He has been doing so much since he came here and he is really tired.
"We asked him to do a job and it wasn't an easy job because Stephen Pearson is a workaholic. Tamas struggled a little bit in the earlier part of the game, but in the latter part I thought he dealt with it really well.
"He coped with certain situations and he has filled in and done a great job for us."
