Cheltenham Town boss Mark Yates is hoping to agree a deal to re-sign Blackpool defender Ashley Eastham on loan.

The 18-year-old impressed during a one-month loan spell with the Robins and had agreed a deal to stay for a second month before being recalled by the Championship side.

Eastham was on the bench for Blackpool's 1-1 draw at Cardiff City on Saturday, but Yates is keen to bring the youngster back to Whaddon Road.

"I will be speaking to Ian Holloway (Blackpool boss) to see if we can get him back," Yates told the Gloucestershire Echo.

"He is delighted that he may get his chance back at Blackpool, but I believe they are looking into the loan market and if something comes of it, we will go back and ask if we can have him for another period.

"Ashley is strong, athletic, decent in the air and he has enjoyed himself with us."
