Grimsby Town want to extend Southampton defender Olly Lancashire's deal as the club also look to secure the futures of other on-loan players. Lancashire's stay at the League Two club is set to expire next month and Mariners manager Neil Woods would like to keep the 21-year-old until the end of the season, or even sign the defender on a permanent deal. "We have been speaking to the player, Southampton and the player's agent. Hopefully we can do something there," Woods told the club's official website. Michael Coulson, Nicky Featherstone, Damien McCrory and Ben Wright are also on loan at Blundell Park. Woods added: "We would like to keep one or two of the loan players and negotiations are ongoing with the clubs. That is something we are working on this week. "There are a couple that I would like to take permanently, but there is a lot of work to do there."
