Midfielder fit again following two-month injury absence

Derby County midfielder Kris Commons is hoping to make his first-team comeback from a hamstring injury over the Christmas period. Commons has been sidelined for the past two months with the injury, but played 90 minutes of a behind-closed-doors game against Burton Albion on Tuesday. The Scotland international was happy to be back in action and may be involved in the Rams' Boxing Day game at home to Blackpool. "It felt good to play, and I feel in good shape," Commons told the club's official website. "I've worked on my rehabilitation and recently with Johnny Metgod, I have really been put through my paces to make sure I don't break down again. "Hopefully I can be involved now in the games over Christmas, that is the target. "I've missed a lot of games and I want to get back into the team."
