New Barnsley boss Mark Robins has made Julian Gray his first piece of transfer business.

Winger agrees monthly deal with Barnsley

New Barnsley boss Mark Robins has made Julian Gray his first piece of transfer business. The winger joins the Tykes as a free agent following his release by Fulham over the summer. The former Arsenal trainee has also turned out for Crystal Palace, Cardiff, Birmingham and Coventry during a much-travelled career. The 29-year-old has only agreed a short-term deal at Oakwell as his search for stability continues, but Robins believes Gray is capable of earning an extended stay. "Julian will bring a lot of pace to our side," he told the club's official website. "He can play at left-back but normally operates in front of that and has bags of experience in the Championship and Premier League. "He will come in initially on a monthly deal and will add a lot to our squad."
