Blackpool midfielder Gary Taylor-Fletcher is facing a spell on the sidelines due to an ankle ligament tear.
The 28-year-old suffered the injury in training when he collided with Seasiders team-mate Alex Baptiste.
Manager Ian Holloway is now awaiting the results of medical checks but it is feared Taylor-Fletcher could be out for several weeks.
"He was taken to hospital but luckily he hasn't broken anything," Holloway said on the club's official website.
Hameur Bouazza will come into contention for Saturday's clash with Leicester following his deadline day arrival.
