Cash-rich side fail to land Scunthorpe striker
Queens Park Rangers sporting director Gianni Paladini has revealed the club had a bid for Gary Hooper rejected by Scunthorpe United.
Hooper has been linked with a summer move away from Glanford Park after netting 30 goals for the Iron last season.
It is claimed QPR offered around £1million for the striker but Scunthorpe rejected the approach from their Championship rivals.
Paladini said: "We made a bid for Hooper but it was rejected. We were told that he is not for sale."
Scunthorpe signed Hooper, 21, from Southend United for £175,000 in July last year.
