Skysports.com understands Blackpool have agreed a fee with Oldham for defender Neal Eardley.
Blackpool have been chasing the Welsh international all summer as Ian Holloway looks to bring him to Bloomfield Road.
The 20-year-old has made over 130 appearances for the Latics and is now a regular in the Wales set-up.
Oldham rejected Blackpool's initial overtures, but they have now finally reached a compromise and a fee has been agreed between both clubs.
Eardley has now been given permission to hold talks with Blackpool and undergo a medical at the Championship club.
The versatile performer will help fill the void left by Shaun Barker's departure to Derby.
